    SpamHalter & Mailing Lists

    Hi,

first i have to apologize for my bad english.

I activate the SPAM filtering(SpamHalter 4.3.1.383) on my mercury mailserver (4.52).

If i receive an email sent direct to my emailadress, i can see the header taggings in the email:

    example Header:

    Received: from spooler by sub.domain.de (Mercury/32 v4.52); 10 Mar 2009 11:12:21 +0100
    X-Envelope-To: <my@emailaddre.ss>
X-SPAMWALL: Passed through antiSPAM test by SpamHalter 4.3.1 on sub.domain.de (1295)
    X-SPAMWALL: probability - 100.0%
    X-SPAMWALL: SPAM detected!
    X-SPAMWALL: Debug - BLOCKED 0.0101156069364

    .....

if i receive an email sent to a mailing list adress of wich i am a member the mail didn't include the tags.

    example Header:

    Received: from spooler by sub.domain.de (Mercury/32 v4.52); 10 Mar 2009 08:11:18 +0100
    X-Envelope-To: my@emailaddre.ss
    From: <Spammer@mail.com>
    To: "Mailing List Title" <mailing@list.addre.ss>
    Subject: ExapmleSubjectText

    .....

How can i force the filtering of the mails that are sent to a mailinglist?

    Re: SpamHalter & Mailing Lists

Generally Spamhalter tags all mail no matter how received but if you "Exclude" addresses from processing then you'll not see any headers in the message.  I suspect you may have excluded the mailing list address from processing.

    Re: SpamHalter & Mailing Lists

    Hi Thomas,

thanks for your help. I didn't exclude addresses in spamhalter but my failure was to search for a solution in the spamhalter settings.

My solution was to activate the "Disable header stripping for this list(allow headers to pass through) in the Mailing List settings

(Configuration-->Mailing list...-->Edit list-->Tab Distribution-->activate "Disable header stripping for this list(allow headers to pass through)

I hope my English is to be understood.
