    .3 short of 5.0  though ;-)

Well, I guess it's close enough to help us hold our breaths for the big Five O

Re: Pegasus Mail Development and Version 5

After 2 years it starting to be a little sad that nothing happens. Sad, because Pegasus mail can be the last normal, professional email client, unlike all that modern crappy programs without even basic configuration possibilities. The only program that can be competition to Pegasus is The Bat! - but for now has so many bugs that are not fixed by years (except number version) that is not worth to buy. I expected PMail 5 will have lot of improvements and even early beta will be very welcome. But now I don't really believe in that.

Re: Pegasus Mail Development and Version 5

David Harris yesterday sent a message to the beta testers announcing a developer update to be posted within the next days: He actually asked us to evaluate it prior to publishing it, i.e. it already exists. Expect it to become available on this page.

    TIC TOC TIC TOC ...

We're approaching the first anniversary of DH's last and very long devnews article.
His closing words: "I really do feel like there's light at the end now."

To be a bit poetic: are these dimming lights the red ones from early sunrise or from developpers hell-fire?

Re: Pegasus Mail Development and Version 5

at least a coming 4.73 (idw: "...  with the upcoming Pegasus Mail version 4.73") could be a sign that 5.0 is still possible.

Re: Pegasus Mail Development and Version 5

Where and when idw (Michael) did announce an upcoming "4.73"?

     And btw:
I did oversee that DH's last veeeery long devnews-post showed up APRIL-1st.
Which seems to me a not negligible fact.

Re: Pegasus Mail Development and Version 5

Information received from idw related to IErenderer last version publication :

There is supposed to another interim update in the near future, that's all I can say. And don't expect anything more specific to hear from me other than in the past weeks I provided updates of my encryption and rendering add-ons in preparation for Pegasus Mail 4.73.

PHR, You don't relate to idw's 03-29-2017 post in this thread, don't you?

    Anyway. Crossing fingers.
