As I was still in 4.52 and saw 4.61, I upgraded to it.

Running Pmail in wine.

As always I took the upgrade function.

When starting Pmail it crashed after I had selected the user to open.

I decided to go back to 4.52, as this one was working and took the update function again.

When starting this 4.52 ad selecting the user, it crashes also now.

So I am without pmail for the moment.

What is the best way to recover?

 Check the command line for the program.  Make sure that there are no extraneous characters in the command line.

There are now extraneous characters on the command line.

Finally I emptied the pmaim program directory containing 4.52 and installed the 4.61 as new/

The mail data being on another drive, I just had to give the path to it.

This time 4.61 did work.

Don't know why the update didn't work, but I have a working 4.61 now.

Just make sure to use the latest IERenderer version if installing IE 9 on your machine - otherwise you'll start getting crashes again!
