Pegasus Mail & Mercury

Pegasus v.4.5pb1 does not show message’s headers in the message view and crushes after several minutes in the case when the Windows XP language for non-Unicode program (Control Panel-> Regional settings) is Arabic or Hebrew.

It is very difficult to offer any suggestions without the original message. Could you send a copy to me (irelam@telus.net). I have been working with a number of users to clear up problems with Hebrew/Arabic character sets.   If the charset iso-8859-8 is coded in the Mime headers or in the html Meta tag in the body of the message, something should display. Further, use of the DIR=RTL (direction Right To Left) on an html Body tag will allow selective directional text too.

The Pegasus v.4.5pb1 crashes when Windows XP language for non-Unicode program is Arabic or Hebrew. The crash is not related to message header, text, or character sets. V.4.5pb1  crashes after open any message, for example, the “Pegasus Mail Technical Support” message “About this folder”.

Try to open a message after choosing in Windows XP in Control Panel-> Regional settings Arabic or Hebrew language for non-Unicode program.

My problem may be something to do with the language settings on the senders side.

Is there a way to use the RAW view to see what the language settings is the senders side?
