• Re: Dumb Me!

The safest method is to copy just the data files from the old Admin mailbox directory to the new one using that guide I referenced earlier.

  • Re: Removing attachments

In my tests, using .gif & .jpg inserted from an image file and .png pasted in from the snipping tool... A message must be in new mail folder in order to delete attachments (including embedded image files) A refresh of the new mail folder shows the smaller file size.

  • Re: Do Mercury created certificates expire?

After working through the problem it became apparent that the problem isn't with the certificate but with iOS 10.3 and it's inability to replace an expired certificate with a new one.

  • Re: Removing attachments

Embedded images are attached images which can be deleted in the attachments pane like any other attachment. Deletion replaces the attachment entry with a ''Deleted section'' entry and the message then displays a gray box in place of the image.

  • Re: Dumb Me!

-I <username> -ID <identity> Using them in the command line saves from having to enter a username on startup and starts up in the specified identity. The -I option is not applicable for a single user installation. The -ID option is not applicable if no identities are configured. In Pegasus Mail go to Help > ...

  • Re: Do Mercury created certificates expire?

I wish the iPhones were that easy. It's either SSL on or off. They don't provide a way to replace and expired certificate. I installed a root certificate on the 2nd users phone but it wasn't recognized by the email account. It gets worse. Each install of an email account creates a new smtp server but removal of an ...

  • Re: Dumb Me!

You could rename C:PMAIL to something like C:\PMAIL_BAD then do a new install to C:\PMAIL and then copy the date to the new install. Use the file restoration guide for copying content from an old Pegasus Mail installation mailbox to a new one which you will find in the Downloads section of this site. ...

  • Re: Do Mercury created certificates expire?

The 2 year expiration is consistent with what I experienced based on the date stamp of the expired certificate file. It's astounding how difficult it is to get the new certificate trusted on iDevices. While researching I found info about installing a root certificate on the iPhone but there was emphasis on the server in the ...

  • Re: Do Mercury created certificates expire?

I got my hands on one of these users phones. The new certificate is being recognized but is untrusted. At least I now know that the problem is with the phone and not with Mercury. I remained surprised by the expiration of the previous certificate though. I can not find any documentation about built-in expiration. ...

  • Re: Copies to Self

If both folder are named ''copies to self'', I would rename the old one and then work with Pegasus Mail for awhile to insure copyself functionality is normal. Once confirmed, from within Pegasus Mail move all of the message from that renamed folder to the copies to self folder and then delete the now empty folder. If you feel more ...
