• Re: Re-order Identities

Yes. With Pegasus Mail closed edit the ''[Pegasus Mail for Windows - Identities]'' section of the PMAIL.INI file to your preferred order. I strongly suggest making a backup copy of PMAIL.INI first. The PMAIL.INI file is located in your new mailbox directory. If you don't know where that is use the Pegasus Mail ''Help'' pull-down menu ...

  • Re: Outgoing Messages Stuck in Send Queue

Brian Fluet:...There isn't any reference to the missing attachment on the recipient end.... I misspoke here. There is the attachment symbol in the left column of the Pegasus Mail new mail folder for each of the messages that were sent without the attachment. The attachment pane only shows a plain text part of the message body. ...

  • Re: Outgoing Messages Stuck in Send Queue

Euler GERMAN:If a message is being written or edit, and it has one or more files attached to it, and one or more of those files are deleted, the message will still be sent (it will go to the queue and will produce an error on its way out) BUT the message editor window won't close and that without any warning! Weird. It's worse: each time you ...

  • Re: Suggestions needed on how best to rebuild a mailbox

Joerg:Only one e-mail caused that problem? Delete it and the problem is gone. This is the most fast solution. If only the message has been worthless. Unfortunately, it wasn't disposable. It contained a form in its body that had to be printed, filled in, signed, scanned, and returned. Joerg:Or try to forward it to another user (not ...

  • Re: Suggestions needed on how best to rebuild a mailbox

Thanks Joerg. I ended up emptying his mailbox director and then running Pegasus Mail so that it would create new configuration files. I then copied back all of the data files. Unfortunately this didn't solve the problem which I believe to be associated with IER. There is one message that crashes Pegasus Mail for this user ...

  • Re: Choosing sender email address

You need two identities. Each identity can be configured to service it's associated POP3 and/or SMTP hosts if different or they can use the same one. You then need to ''become'' the identity you want to send as. Be aware that most configurations settings are identity specific so when you create the new identity you must then ...

  • Re: Outgoing Messages Stuck in Send Queue

Queued mail is stored as either .PMO, .PMX, or .PMW files in your HOME mail directory. Typically a stuck one has a zero byte size so that is the place to start. While in there look for any .PM$ files and delete those as well. These are temporary files used by Pegasus Mail when parsing attachments and/or html files. ...

  • Suggestions needed on how best to rebuild a mailbox

I have a user who is experiencing random crashes of Pegasus Mail when attempting printing and replies. I can't duplicate the problem in any other mailbox so am considering rebuilding his mailbox and then copying in the existing data from backup. I don't have a vision of how to approach this with Mercury in mind. Thoughts would be ...

  • Re: Locating Folders

You may need to learn to tolerate the occurrence of the ''locating folders'' 25 at a time. My experience is that it doesn't happen with every startup but it can occur several starts in a row and then not occur for several starts before occurring again. I haven't been able to identify the cause but am certain that mine is not tied ...
