• Re: Unable to access Pegasus Mail account

Thomas R. Stephenson: How did you manually move them from the new mail folder to the main folder if Pegasus mail will not open? Hanging in closing means that you are doing something that takes a long time. If you mark the new mail read and do not allow read mail to remain in the new mail folder it's going to be moved to the folder you ...

  • Re: Unable to access Pegasus Mail account

Hi Content control is disabled for this account. I moved the larger cnm's out of the folder but it did not make any difference. So I moved them back in and manually moved the mail from the New Mail folder to the Main folder. However, even after marking subsequent new mail as 'read', when I close the account, it still hangs. Clicking the ...

  • Re: Unable to access Pegasus Mail account

Ah, there is still a problem. Although I can access it, I marked all mail as read then closed Pegasus. Normally, Pegasus would move read mail to the main folder, then exit - I left it for two hours and it was still not responding. I'll try moving the larger mails (cnm files) out of the folder and see what happens.

  • Re: Unable to access Pegasus Mail account

Thanks, Thomas. Your suggestion worked. I renamed the file as suggested and the was able to access the account. I discovered a bounced message of 24MB. One question, if I may - why would you not set New Mail filtering rules to act this way? Thanks again!

  • Unable to access Pegasus Mail account

Hi again :) OK, I have a Pegasus Mail account that has a copy of all mail received by our company. I have a couple of mail filtering rules that mark new mail as read and then moves the mail to the Main Folder when the New Mail Folder is opened, so this is triggered each time the account is accessed. This works fine - Pegasus will usually ...

ahh - it was my error. I'm pretty sure the synonyms file was out of date, I replaced it with the latest one and everything is working as it should be. Thanks again for the help.

  • User not known at this site error

Hello We use Pegasus Mail and Mecury32 to send mail in a Windows environment. We have approximately 30 client PC's and Both Mercury32 and the PEgasus mailboxes are located on a storage server. I have set up synonyms by creating a text file and entering synonym@domain.com == Pegasus_Username. I then used the fsynonym.exe program in the ...

  • Re: POP3 Downloading

Sorry about this - the POP3 modules were not downloading anything. No *.MD files were in the folder. What was happening was that the MessageLabs banner was not visible in one view - all mail defaults to plain text view, and although the banner is visible in the majority of these, it is not visible in others. Switching views revealed the banner. ...

Thanks, Thomas. No proxy is used. I've turned on session logging, so I will post back in a couple of days with the results.

  • Re: POP3 Downloading

Thomas and David - thanks for your replies. As I said, I have stopped and restarted Mercury several times, and have also restarted the server and checked the POP3 settings. Here is a screenshot. Again, the only mail we should be receiving is via MessageLabs, using the SMTP server. The only IP addresses allowed are those given us by ...
