• Re: POP3 Downloading

Thank you, Thomas. Since disabling both accounts I have manually stopped and restarted Mercury several times, and have re-checked the POP3 configuration each time too. The server has also been restarted twice since this change was implemented, and I am the only person to log onto it. It is definitely downloading from one POP3 box. I know ...

  • POP3 Downloading

Hi again We have two POP3 accounts defined in the Mercury POP3 module. Both are presently disabled. This morning I discovered that even though they are both disabled, Mercury was still downloading from one of them. I wanted to keep the account information within Mercury, but did not want to use them while we are testing the SMTP ...

  • Re: Autoresponders

I see. I understand how to create and use a filter .rul file but how would you include the instruction to respond with a auto-reply template and forward the original file to the intended recipient? Can anyone provide an example of this please? I cannot see any examples of this in the Mercury documentation.

  • Re: Autoresponders

Peter Strömblad:normal Thanks for confirming this. Normal? Seriously? What happens to the original message? I would expect Mercury to pass the incoming message onto the recipient.

  • Autoresponders

Hi Folks I have set up an autoresponder using the Alias feature of Mercury32 V4.52. I have configured the Alias to respond using a template. Thus: Alias = grennman@mydomain.com Real Address = tfile:path\filnename.mer The autoresponder works fine, but, the local user does not recieve the message that triggered the response. Is this ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

iordanis Many thanks for the information. We have now moved over to SMTP for all email for our organisation. I assume that telling the POP3 to download to the temporary location keeps it out of sight of the Core Process, so the Core Process cannot forward it prematurely? Thomas Did you mean the 'Local user' in the POP3 configuration dialog ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

@Thomas R. Stephenson: Thanks for your reply, however, our POP3 server requires a username and password otherwise mail cannot be retrieved. @iordanis: Also, thanks for the reply. But, how did you do this?

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

Hi Thomas, thanks again for taking the time to reply. What I don't understand is when mail to our organisation was being delivered via POP3, messages with attachments were delivered to user's inboxes in fragments. However, when the same messages are delivered via SMTP the user receives a single message. The way ...
