• Re: Can read pdf file attachment, but sending it gives errors at the receiver

Shades:I only have one (the default) line in my mime-map.pmText/HTML = HTML-text There are many lines in filetype.p. But none refer to PDF in any form, ... So maybe it's not your end at fault, can ''you'' read a pdf you send to your self? (not copy to self) Same with me. The one and only I'm wondering about is that PDFs are recognized as ...

  • Re: Blacklist Doesn't Seem to Work

Hi Harry, I'm taking for granted that you have your Content Control Rule (e.g. ''Basic Spam Detection'') enabled and have set the Applicability to ''all messages'' or ''messages from the internet'' (I'm using the fully german version - insofar the names could differ a little bit) But on the other hand I have activated and tested the Pmail ...

  • Re: Links Contained in emails Usually Don't Work

Generally there is a difference between links in html formatted mails and links in plain text mails. While links in html mails have to be clicked only once, links in plain text mails have to be clicked twice. Further, when holding the mouse pointer over a html link, a tooltip is showing the url address of the link. A lot of html mails contain ...

  • Re: Once more: Mercury as a Service under MS Server 2016

Greenman:The only time I have seen icons disappear from the system tray is when the explorer.exe process is restarted. It certainly has this effect on Pegasus Mail icons, so it may also be the cause of your mercury/32 icon disappearing as well. Thanks Greenman. It seems this is an oddity which could only be solved by David when he will test his ...

  • Re: Once more: Mercury as a Service under MS Server 2016

Hi Guys, Since Mercury is running on our Server 2016, I experience a little oddity with the GUI: When Mercury is started manually (the service is disabled as long as we are adjusting and checking things with Mercury on the new server) and minimized, the Mercury icon appears within the SysTray. The icon keeps available from the SysTray for about 3 ...

  • Re: New mail does not appear in New Mail folder

HTR:If I put the following as the first line in the filter, it still doesn't work!Always Move ''New mail'' First I had the same thought as Brian, that your ''new mail'' folder is not Pmail's standard inbox. But since I use the full german version, I don't see the standard english expression of Pmail's new mail but see only the german name. This ...

  • Re: New mail does not appear in New Mail folder

Do the new mails never appear in the New Mail Folder or only after a long time? In that case you should check the refresh interval for New Mail within the Settings > Extended Settings. But for me it sounds more like wrong filter rules. Maybe you could post the content of your WINRULEA.PMC and WINRULES.PMC for a detailled filter check. I use ...

Hi Brian, New user creation is always a try-and-error game also with with Here my checklist:new user to be created via Mercury's ''manage local users''new user to be added to MercuryD and connected to local user mailboxsynonym.mer to be updated with new user name (local user name == internet address) and to be added to Mercury and Pmail program ...

  • Re: is Peg an orphan program?

Interesting question. I'm (and most of our ''older'' users) still happy with Pmail. Especially in connection with Mercury we are able to configure all what we need and the couple is working fine. But I'm also aware of the meanings of our younger colleagues. Some of them prefer e.g. Thunderbird which is connecting by IMAP to Mercury properly as ...

  • Re: Pmail removes russian text from e-mails

Moin Michael, We are presently still using ISO-8859-1 without any problems. But as I wrote, the problem was not the set charset but a corrupted user's pmail.ini file. On any Windows crash or other event, where Pmail didn't quit properly, user's pmail.ini will not be saved. And on new start it seems Pmail generates a ''new'' pmail.ini with random ...
