• Moving emails gets extremely slow

Occassionally I have a need to move hundreds of emails to another folder. I noticed Pegasus was responsive for the first 140 odd emails but then Pegasus became unresponsive. If left for half an hour or so, it will come back to life having completed the move of the rest of the emails. Checking CPU usage, there doesn't seem to be any ...

  • Re: Not able to open my pegasus email from gmail IMAP

Bob Schneck:Hi, I have pegasus version 4.63. Pegasus 4.7 has a number of improvements that may help you out here. I suggest installing 4.7 and see if you still have problems. Cheers

  • Re: installation of Pegasus Mail 4.7 ... whats about the option "roaming mode"

Pete:Should I install with or without ''roaming'' mode in normal use on a single hard drive ? Roaming mode is used for example where Pegasus is installed on a USB stick (drive) where drive letters may change as you change machines. For installing on a local hard drive, install without roaming mode. There is no ...

  • Re: Unable to move messages

aderoy:You can set a default on a folder for recovery when xxx space of deleted messages is reached. I am aware you can do that. By default it's set to around 20k. However, for the folder concerned, I don't generally move or delete mail. I'm just wondering why I was getting an insufficient disk space message while this folder was at ...

  • Re: Unable to move messages

aderoy:Try to Recover deleted space each email folder within Pegasus. Clear up used/released pointers? This particular folder doesn't get messages deleted from it, with very few, if any, moved elsewhere. I have executed a recover on various folders, but generally folders where I regularly delete messages, often being newsletter ...

  • Re: Unable to move messages

I've got a similar problem. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit with a 200 GB SSD C: drive with 140 GB free, and a mirrored 4 TB D: data drive with 2.9 TB free. Pegasus and the new mail folder reside on the SSD while my mail folders reside on the mirrored drive. I was getting the same insufficient error message while Pegasus was ...

  • Re: Pmail ignoring attachment file type

PDF viewing broke for me fairly recently with the type unknown error. I checked the Content Viewer and PDF wasn't listed. So I added it and even though Pegasus still says type unknown, clicking on open now works as it used to. Cheers.

  • Re: Legacy versions of Pegasus

I keep the install files each time I download a new version. This way, if there is a problem caused by a new version, I can go to the earlier version and re-install that. On the machine I am using right now, I have 10 versions going back to 4.01 in a folder Downloaded Files. While not generally with Pegasus, this Downloads folder has saved me ...

  • Re: New Mail won't filter properly

With the message highlighted you should see a traffic light icon that tells you if it has been classed as spam (red light) or passed as ok (green light). Click on the traffic icon and try reclassifying the message. Cheers.

  • Re: Painfully Slow Deletion

bfluet:I am curious whether the delay is there when doing a delete without the message going to the Deleted messages folder (hold the Ctrl key down when clicking Yes in response to the delete confirmation prompt). This could be it. Deleting messages also started going slow for me in the last few days. After reading your post, I went ...
