Hi,   Mercury32 4.8.   I use Mercury primarily for Local LAN, but I want to allow pop3 connections from say smartphone users so some user can get their email on the fly. I am investigating the possibility of using a paid filtering service offered by DuoCircle to run as our MX, which then in turn delivers legitimate mail to our local Mercury32 server. I already have all users required to authenticate over SMTP in order to send out email from phones, tablets etc. ...

Hi How about an annotation for each connection control entry in the SMTP settings? I was reviewing these and had to spend some time tracking down a couple of entries that I had made several years ago. It would be useful if there was an extra column after Allow/Refuse called Notes or something similar. It would allow the entries to be quickly ...

  • smarthost

Any way to add more than one smarthost, such as backup smarthost; can it be done by seperating with comma's, space, etc? I haven't been able to find out anything on this in the forums or the manual. Thanks for your replies.

  • Network efficiency and spam fighting

We have Symantec SMSSMTP, as our mx hosts - charge nothing for the service, and it has filtered a total of 96% spam, straight down the waste bin. Does it do it's job? Sure does! - Should I complain? - yeah, because I expect more from such a costly product. There hasn't been one false positive, still I'm bugged when my users get anything from 1 to ...

Hi, For some time now we have been running with Popfile and Spamhalter in tandem with the server archiving and not delivering and emails detected as spam by both filters.  This has worked well for us dramatically reducing the number of spams our users have had to screen.  We also run a limited content filter to detect spams with ...
